The Train Station Bike & Bean Cafe is located next to the scenic St. Margaret's Bay Rails to Trails; a 33 Kilometer, multi-use trail that winds its way from near Hubley to Hubbards in St. Margaret's Bay, Nova Scotia. I had the pleasure of spending over a month in Nova Scotia this past summer and The Bike & Bean was definitely my favorite spot. Try the curried tuna wrap. It's delicious!
The execution of this is amazing and I just love it. I really enjoy the black base to the building and caboose and how that still comes through the red. It is very painterly and it works for this composition.
My only issue with this painting is that the ground closest to the viewer is that matte grey/blue while in the background you have very detailed grass and trees; I think this level of detail should be moved up to the base of the composition. That being said if it will at all detract from the main attention of your subject matter don't listen to me on that.
Your perspective is dead on which is great to see especially tricky with that type of roof on the building. The colours are vibrant and really catch the eye.
Thank you for sharing! I love this piece!! (wish I could try the curried tuna wrap!)
